Driving Excellence: A Brief Overview
DRVRHub has always been at the forefront of promoting safe and responsible driving in Toronto. On May 27, 2022, after successfully meeting all the curriculum requirements set by the City of Toronto, DRVRHub was accredited as a Driver Training Provider. This accreditation allowed DRVRHub to offer its accredited training program to Vehicle-for-Hire Drivers, including taxi, limousine, and Private Transportation Company (PTC) drivers who use rideshare apps such as Uber, Lyft, and Facedrive.
The DRVR Hub Training Program: Two Key Components
DRVRHub’s training program is a two-part process designed to equip drivers with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their profession while ensuring the safety of their passengers and fellow road users.
Online Training Course:
DRVRHub’s online training course is a game-changer. Developed by transportation industry experts, this course recognizes the unique demands of today’s gig economy workers, who may not have the luxury of spending an entire day in a classroom. The online component consists of five courses:
- Transporting passengers in a safe manner
- Driving in an urban setting
- Anti-racism and discrimination
- Providing service to accessible users
- Legal requirements
The online format empowers drivers to complete the training at their own pace, from any location they choose. To ensure that drivers grasp safe driving practices effectively, DRVRHub’s online training program incorporates the following features:
- Video-based online lessons: Engaging and informative.
- Mini practice quizzes: Reinforcing key concepts throughout the five courses.
After completing 100% of the online course and scoring at least 70% on the practice quizzes, drivers can proceed to the next phase.
In-Person Final Exam:
Once drivers have successfully tackled the online training component, they must take an in-person final exam to put their knowledge to the test. This exam ensures that drivers are well-prepared to meet the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

It’s important to note that this Mississauga location is in addition to the existing DRVRHub location in Scarborough, situated at 1457 McCowan Rd, Suite 213, Toronto, ON.
