DRVR Hub is an accredited driver training provider after successfully meeting its updated driver training requirements. For more information, please visit the City of Toronto website.

The new hybrid DRVR Hub Training Program consists of two parts: 1) Online Training Course 2) In-Person Final Exam. The Online Training Program can be completed by the driver at their own pace, from the choice of their location. Upon completion of the online driver training program, the driver will be required to book a slot for an in-person exam at DRVR Hub’s office.

Once you have successfully completed the online training course with a score of minimum 70% in the mini-quizzes, you will receive an email to book a slot for the in-person final exam.

All exams need to be booked online in advance. No walk-ins are permitted.

Drivers for vehicles-for-hire and private transportation companies (PTC), such as Uber, Lyft and Facedrive, are required to complete a mandatory training program from accredited training providers and submit the certificate of completion as part of their license application.

Once you complete the vehicle-for-hire course and receive your certificate, please share with your PTC company who will go through your driver application. Once approved, you will be provided with a PTC license to be eligible to drive in the City of Toronto.

The training has a lifetime validity as per the City of Toronto and only needs to be completed once.

You just have to bring yourself and your driver’s license.

It is approximately 5-6 hours with breaks.

There is a no show fee of $20.

There is a 15-minute grace period. After which, you will not be allowed into the training and will have to pay a no show fee of $20.

You will receive the certificate before the end of the day after successfully completing the instructor-led training.

You can take it whenever and wherever you want after completing the online training courses. Please ensure that you use a PC or laptop with a webcam and microphone. Also, ensure you have a strong internet connection prior to starting the exam.

You must be on a PC or laptop with a working webcam and microphone. We recommend Google Chrome as the preferred browser. Exams cannot be taken on a phone. Also, ensure you have a strong internet connection prior to starting the exam.

Before starting the online proctored exam, remember the following:

1. Grant access to your microphone and webcam for the duration of the exam.
2. Ensure your face remains visible on the webcam throughout the entire exam.
3. Maintain a stable internet connection throughout the exam.
4. Sit in a well-lit environment to ensure clear visibility of your face.
5. Text selection functionality is disabled to prevent copying and pasting text.
6. All exams are recorded and stored to maintain exam integrity.
7. Strongly Recommend: Use a desktop or laptop computer and Google Chrome for optimum performance.
8. DO NOT use your phone for the final exam. If a phone is used, it will result in a failing grade.
9. The following activities are strictly prohibited and will automatically result in a failing grade:
   • Switching tabs during the exam
   • Having another person present in the exam room
   • Using unauthorized materials or devices, including mobile devices
   • Having someone else take the exam on your behalf
   • Being absent at any point during the exam

The video and audio is recorded for the entire exam duration and stored in DRVRHub database.

If you exit fullscreen, switch tabs or sign-in with multiple devices, you will automatically be kicked out of the exam and receive a failing grade. Please contact support@drvrhub.com for next steps.

The exam can only be taken by the individual who registered for the course. You CAN NOT have any assistance during the exam. We have multiple-face detection feature enabled, so make sure there are no other people around you during the exam.

All proctored exams are reviewed by the DRVRHub team to ensure all exam guidelines are followed. Should you meet all the guidelines and pass the exam, you will receive the certificate within 24 hours.

The online component takes approximately 3-5 hours to complete in one sitting and the in-person final exam takes 1 hour. Upon completion of the online training, you will be required to book a slot for an in-person final exam at DRVR Hub’s office.

We recommend that you start the course as soon as possible to be eligible to receive your certificate in a short time frame. However, the course start time is flexible - you can start whenever you are ready.

You have 12 months to complete the course and take the in-person final exam from the day of purchase.

After you have enrolled in a course, or bundle of courses, you will receive a confirmation email with all the important login details. If you don't receive this within a reasonable timeframe (within 1 hour or enrolling), check your junk/spam folder in case the email has bypassed your inbox. You can login via our website in the top right-hand corner.

As a first step, confirm that you have an account on our site and that your email address is spelled correctly. When students cannot access a course or their account we often find it is because they are using the wrong or misspelled email address.

So you've finished one of the courses in a course bundle, and not sure what to do next? At any time during the course, you can click on the "Go To Dashboard" button in the top left-hand corner, or click on the menu icon. Here you will find all the courses you are enrolled in.

Often, this issue is caused by a browser problem on the student's computer. We recommend that all internet browsers be up to date before viewing our online training. If you're not sure what browser you're using you can check out here: https://www.whatsmybrowser.org/ Here are some basic browser troubleshooting steps that are a great starting point if you are having issues playing video/audio. (1) Clear cache and restart the browser. Also check if you’re using the newest version of the browser. (2) Try a different browser – we like Google Chrome. (3) Try an Incognito / Private Window – this will rule out an issue with browser extensions. (4) Restart the device – it's a cliche but it works! If possible, try a different device or a different internet connection. School and/or corporate firewalls occasionally block our video provider.

There is no in-car training required at the moment. You can complete the driver training course online and book your slot for an in-person final exam.

After completing 100% of the online course, drivers will be automatically directed to book a slot for the in-person exam. Exam bookings are on a first-come-first-served basis.

You are not allowed to use or keep your phone beside you during the exam.

All drivers MUST complete both 100% of all 5 online courses and receive a passing grade of 70% for the in-person exam to become a certified vehicle-for-hire driver in the City of Toronto.

All bookings MUST be made through the DRVR Hub portal. Walk-ins are NOT accepted for in-person exam.

If you are caught cheating during a DRVR Hub exam, the exam will be immediately taken away from you, and you will fail and get a zero.

All drivers are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the exam slot. If you are late, there is a chance that you will not be able to write the exam and will be asked to contact DRVR Hub support to reschedule the exam slot.

The passing grade for the in-person final exam is 70%. You can take the mini-quizzes throughout 5 courses in the online training as many times as you like for practice purposes.

If you fail the in-person final exam, you will be required to pay an additional $20 per re-exam. No additional charges for taking the online training course for up to 12 months from the purchase date.

Once you successfully complete the course, you will be required to book a slot for an in-person final exam at DRVR Hub’s office location. Upon receiving 70% in the final exam, our team will review your submission and upon validation, you will receive an email within 1-2 business days with a link to receive your certificate.

You can use the same certificate for all PTC and vehicle-for- companies.

Please send an email to support@drvrhub.com with a picture of your driver’s license to update the certificate. Please allow at least 24 hours to receive the updated certificate.

1. Double check that you have submitted the correct certificate and ensure the information on the certificate matches the information submitted in your driver profile.
2. Please ensure you upload the DRVR Hub certificate as a PDF.
3. If you are still having difficulties, please contact the PTC support line.

All sales are final and non-refundable. Failure to use the product(s) does not constitute a basis for refusing to pay any of the associated charges.
